Christmas Two: Part Two

"Help! We lost Laura!"

"You really made her just for me, grandma? Ooooh and dresses, too?"

"Mom, this box is filled with clothes. What was I supposed to say again?"

"Thank you, grandma. They are exactly what I asked Santa for!"

"Okay, I looked cute for the camera. Can I finish opening presents now?"

Christmas Number Two

"My very first fire. . .it is really pretty."

"Ho. . .Ho. . .Ho!! I'm not normally a hat girl, but this one matches my jammies."

"Wow, this is really all mine?"

"Don't be jealous, mom. Not all of us were born to look this good in a mink lined robe!"

"Notice that mom caught my present opening frenzy in mid-air. Tea, anyone?"

Kyla had way too much fun. Her favorite gifts so far from Christmas One are her MagnaDoodle, Mini Van, and Dollhouse furniture. Her favorite gift from Christmas Two is her tea set that sings I'm a little tea pot. We've already had several tea parties. She is also the only 18-month-old I know that has ever gotten real pearls and a mink lined robe for Christmas. . .oh, and before you think we are spoiling her, we bought her neither of those!

Christmas One of Three

"Come on mom, you want grandpa and 7 kids to look at the camera at the same time. Too funny! You'll have to settle for me. "

"Oooh. My first Christmas present!"

"Want to see my magnadoodle? It is really cool!"

"My first car! Awesome!"

"Umm. . .guys? Can I help, too?"

We celebrated Christmas with Ken's family this past weekend, and Kyla enjoyed her first of three Christmases. Her second will be with my parents on Christmas eve, and since she has been good, it looks like Santa is due to arrive here on Christmas day. Kyla was really enjoying playing with all of her cousins and her new toys.

Daddy's Little Girl

"Hold still, dad. A girl needs a safe place to keep her purse."

"I got some change in here somewhere. Hang on."

"I just look so freaking cute in overalls, mom had to add this one."

I know it is hard to tell from these photos, but Ken doesn't let Kyla get away with anything. Yea. . .right!

Learning to Clean

"Uh...oh...I accidently on purpose spilled some milk."

". . .so I'll just clean it up."

So, Kyla has picked up a new fun habit. She loves to take a bottle or sippy cup, drip milk on my oven, fridge, floor, or anywhere else and then wipe it up. I think I'll just give her a bottle of Windex and let her go at the floors!

My first at home play date. . .kind of.

Add Image "Aren't we cute? Now let me get our list of demands."

"Now, let me tell you a secret. . ."

Mom's friend Christie and my little friend Caitlin came over to play with me. Caitlin is still a bit small to play, but I told her about all the trouble we can get into as soon as she gets a bit bigger.

The Second Sunday St Nick

"I think I'm get the hang of this present thing."

"A basketball, a soccer ball, AND a football. Yippee! Let's hope I got my athletic ability from dad and not mom."

"Grandma told me about this soccer thing. I hope she'll play with me!"

" Another present? What is it?"

"No, mom, you can't borrow my new purse!"

Kyla with her second set of St Nick Gifts: A basketball, football, and soccer ball and a nice little purse. Got her covered if she turns out to be a tomboy or a princess!

St Nick. . .

"The stockings were hung by the chimney with care. . ."
"Wow, something is in there!"
"Disney princess cars! How cool!"

Okay, so we grew up with a tradition in our house that Saint Nick came and brought us one small gift each Sunday in December until Christmas. Ken thought this was the coolest tradition, so we are keeping it with Kyla. This is a picture of her first gift from Saint Nick.

Getting ready for the holidays!

"Our attempt at a family photo. Kyla just wasn't feeling it."
"Check out my Picasso, dad! You can hang it on the fridge."

"What do you think, Sarah? Did I get my daddy's artistic abilities?"

It has been a crazy couple of weeks with traveling and everyone here sick. Kyla is now into doing some of the cutest things. Sydney shares a room with her at night, and we would take Syd's bed into the family room for the day. Even though the bed is twice the size of Kyla, she went to grab it and pull it out for Sydney. Too cute. Then when I pick her up at school, she now grabs her jacket and heads straight for the door like a big grown up girl.
Sorry I'm behind, but I will do a couple postings this week.

Getting Into Everything

"I'll just open these blinds for you. I think the neighbors would love to see daddy's underwear!"

"Everest is for wimps! I mastered the ultimate frontier. . .the couch!"

"Man, being that destructive is exhausting. For my last feat, I will single-handedly evict the wiener dog from her bed!"

Four days home, and I managed to top the destruction of an F5 tornado. It was an impressive display. If you can't tell, I am now climbing on everything and randomly chucking my toys across the house for maximum display of my powers of chaos creation. Mom tries to clean up after me, but I'm starting to get too good for her. (Enter evil little giggle. . .)

The Real Turkey Day

"Come on, I want to play with my cousins!"

"I'm fine. I'm just snuggling up to dad, so he won't be scared of all these new people."

"Man, football rocks. Bring me a milk, and keep 'em coming!"

"Umm. . .mom. . .I can explain. . .Uncle Chuck said you can't watch football without beer, so. . ."

(So no one worries, this was mom's empty caffeine free diet pepsi. . .that may actually taste worse than beer.)

"Hey, is that turkey ready?"

The Pre-Thanksgiving Celebration

"Resting up for the big event!"

"I'm all ready. Where's my KFC?"
"Ooooh. . .that looks fun!"
"Wow, I ate so much, I can't see my feet!"
We had a pre-Thanksgiving celebration at Grandma Baxter's house, and it was too cool. We had KFC and even got to open stocking stuffers early. Way cool. I've been a bit under the weather, but my plan is to stow away in mom's luggage tomorrow, since she is headed to Orlando.

Random Cuteness

"Yes, this is a job for the Drama Llama!"

"Cheesy. . .I mean cheese!"

"Woo Hoo! Going to see Aunt Shar."

"You can't hide from me dad!"

"Snoozing with my butt in the air."
