CYO Championship Meet

 "For the CYO Championship meet, I qualified in shot put, long jump, and the 4x100m. My top individual 200m was 38 seconds, and while I ran it faster in relays, I did not qualify for the finals."

 "We still don't have official places, but I had my personal best of 13'2". I actually threw one further, but then stepped outside of the ring to the front, and it was called a foul. :( I learned my lesson."

 "I long jumped, but didn't not have my best meet here. I set my personal best for the year last week at 8'6.75"."

We are still waiting for the final results, but we think we won the small school division. St Chris's top points they have ever had at the Championships was 65. This year, we scored 157! Dad did an awesome job coaching field events and we got 2nd, 3rd, and 6th in shot put. There were 9 schools at the meet!

Last of Regular Season Track Meets

 "46 degrees and raining, but as the anchor, took her 4x200m team from last place to second. Her split was fast enough to make her one of only 2 3rd graders to be invited to compete at the district qualifiers!"

"Shivering with Abby Kutter under the bleachers. Kyla also jumped her personal best in long jump at 8' 6.75" which placed her second and qualified her for the district championship.  She ran at the district qualifiers on Sunday, and while she did not make the final round, she put out a tremendous effort to finish in the upper part of the pack as the only 8-year-old there. So proud of this girl!"

Mother's Day 2016

Track Meet 3: Fairmont Relay

 "First time throwing a shot put at a meet. I threw 12'7""

"I ran the 200m of the Mixed Medley (200-200-400-800), and we took 5th. We got 4th in shot put, and left before we found out the final score in long jump. I jumped 7'1", because I jumped way before the line."

"I ran the 200m, 4x100m relay, and placed 8th in long jump! This was a HUGE invitational meet, so the fact I did so well, we had the smallest team, and I was the only 8-year-old competing out of the field made mom & dad impressed."
