Belated Birthday at IFly

Playing around at a store before
Suited up. Mom was bummed, because she wasn't allowed to fly with her heart surgery.

Cross Country Meet #5: Sidney Yellow Jacket Invitational

Ready to start
And we're off
It was almost 90 degrees. A girl in front of me passed out and needed a medic.
I felt like I wanted to throw up, but I got another huge PR
16:27.4 for 2-miles which placed me 55th out of 107, and 6th on my team. I have dropped 2 minutes and 13 seconds off the time from my first race to now!

Cross Country Meet #4: Piqua Invitational

Me, Issy Alexander, and Gracie Austin
Okay, so I was zoned out and missed the starting gun

It was only a mile raced, and I got tripped and fell at the beginning
 Catching up after falling
 Running to the finish
With a fall, the final time was 7:26.1. Frustrated, because I can run a mile in under 7 minutes, but still finished 56th out 111 and 6th out of the 18 on my team. Our team finished 4th overall.

Cross Country Meet #3: Troy XC Invitational

Felt much better today and the cold is almost gone.
This was the start. It was an enormous meet with over 35 schools and over 1000 runners.

Catching one more runner on my way to a huge PR
 Leading 3 Morton girls in.
PR of 17:09.16. I finished 122 out of 189 runners, but got points for my team. I was 5th on my team out of 16 that ran for our school. Top 7 earn points.
Us at the start. Our team finished 9th of  12 teams.
Me and Issi Alexander. We went and saw the XC movie Overcomer after the meet.

Cross Country Meet #2: Skyhawk Invitational

Elli Davis, me, Issi Alexander, Kaitlyn Moon, Maya Violette
Our team placed 4th, and I was 6th on our team out of the 7 that could earn points (we had 18 middle school girl runners on our team total)
It was a rough meet. The course was super hilly and I was fighting a cold.

Still finished 76th out of 131 with a time of 18.53.70
The board as I crossed the finish

One of our team members was the very last to finish, so Elli, Issi, Maya, and I ran her in the last mile even though we were all exhausted. We got called down to the principal's office the next day and recognized for being kind and representing our school so well. :)
