Aunt Alison & Grandma surprised me & came to the game. It was so good to see grandma out and about. 

Quiz Bowl

 My Quiz Bowl team: Sofia Kragik, Lexi Fairchild, me, Makenzie Kohlriser. We called ourselves the Perpetual Motion Squad (PMS). . .yes, the initials were intentional.

We lost our first round in double overtime 24-23, We won the 2nd round 14-12, but lost the 3rd round 17-24. We ended up placing 4th overall. Not bad considering it was our first time doing anything like this!

The Viral Snow Chicken

 So, we got about 7" of perfect packing snow, and mom thinks we need to make a frozen chicken.

 We started carving, and I decided he needed to rock some sunglasses, and "Elvis's inner chicken" emerged.

 On day 2, we made him a nest.

 And colored him with food coloring.

 The best part is the sunglasses are colored with espresso. He smells soo good!

 So, the City of Vandalia asks people to send in photos around Vandalia. The City Manager loved it and put it on the City Facebook page and from there Elvis went viral with thousands of likes and shares across the country. Some of our favorites are below.

After a few days of going viral, a video was made in tribute to our dear Elvis and the video also went viral. It was so awesome to be able to make hundreds of thousands of people smile. :) 

Oh, and Elvis also made the front page of the newspaper!
