"Getting my grove on and dancing the night away."

Getting ready for the Wedding

"Now I see why mom and dad like caffeine. Yummy!" (She only had one little sip.)

"Mom, I know it looked cute on the hanger, but I feel a bit like Neopolitan ice cream."

"Thank you for the bubbles, grandma."

"Another family shot, mom? I'm cute enough to carry off the Christmas card myself, don't you think?"

"My grandma and grandpa. Man, I love those guys!"

Kyle & Alicia's Rehearsal Dinner

"This is a comfy seat. I'll just sit here."

"Hmm. . .pork tenderloin with a raspberry chipoltle glaze or chicken fingers?"

"All this attention is wonderful!"

"Grandpa, you are falling under my spell. . .you will buy me jewelry, feed me ice cream, and let me play with your trains."

"My mommy and daddy all dressed up."

Getting Ready for the Rehearsal

"Excuse me while my stylist finishes."

"Do you think the paparazzi will approve of this pose?"

"Cheese!"

"Does this purse go with my outfit?"

"Umm. . .dad. . .we have to go. Are you ready?"

Where are you Uncle Frank?

"Grandma and I where my great-grandma always waited for my mom, and my mom always waited for the amazing bread."

"Mom, Uncle Frank isn't in his yard."

"Come on, guys! We've got to find Uncle Frank!"

"Uncle Frank, are you in there??"

"He wasn't here, grandma. Do you PROMISE he'll be at the wedding?"

These photos were taken at Kyla's Great Uncle Frank's house in IL. This is also the house Kyla's great-grandparents used to live in. I have a photo exactly like the top one with my mom and I in that same spot when I wasn't much older than Kyla. Will try to post it when I find it.

My First Real Road Trip

"Fancy meeting you here, grandma. What's for lunch?"

"Mom, you can have my banana if you want."

"Rest area kick ball. . .cool!"

"Can we go to rest areas EVERY weekend?"

"No, dad, they don't make the slides any bigger in Illinois."

"Yet another abandoned picture of me? Really guys? You need some originality."

"Rest area baby-wrestling. We're sure it will sweep the nation!"

We took a 6-hour raod trip to go to my cousin's wedding in Illinois, and tried our best to keep Kyla entertained for the long trip. She actually did pretty well in the car, but ended up motion sick both when we got there, and on the trip back.

Random June Fun

"I wonder if these go with my jammies?"
"This is a blast!"

"Um guys, what are you doing?"

"Okay, kind of a cool view from here."

"Betcha can't find me."

Strawberry Festival

"Hang on dad, I'll let you know where to go as soon as I get your sunglasses on."

"Just try and take this ball, and I'll send my daddy after you."

Always have to go the Troy Strawberry Festival, and enjoy the chocolate covered strawberries and strawberry doughnuts. Kyla was a fan of both, and had too much fun playing in the inflatables. . .we couldn't get her to come out, and considering neither Ken nor I could fit in, it was quite a spectacle.

Daddy's Little Helper

"Okay, I have the bucket. What are we doing, dad?"

"Dad, it might look better if you did it my way."

"Okay, so you take out the rocks, and then what?"

"That is a good size rock, dad."

"Of course I can carry it."

"I'll just dump them in the bucket to take to my room later."
