Alaska: Day 4 (7/3/17)--Gold Panning

Lunch at the Girdwood Picnic Club

Next it was off to Crow Creek Mine to try out some gold panning.
They say in Alaska, "The odds are good that you'll meet someone, but the goods are odd." Yes, very true. Random person dressed up as a mermaid in the creek.

 Looking for gold
 Searching hard
 Even digging
 But no luck
Good thing we bought a couple of seeded bags of gold and got a few nuggets. Ironically, these were stolen from our luggage.
Trespassing on the Alaska Railroad property. . . with 100 other people.

 My beach photo
 Rock climbing
